144th commemoration for the last major battle of the Civil War/WBTS on the original site. Every Blakely Reenactment is different and this one will solely focus on the last entrenched battles in front of the big redoubt, but as always, it will be held on the original site. Static camps located behind Redoubt 4 with normal camp amenities nearby & close participant parking. No distance camps or marches involved.
Tactical skirmishes all Saturday afternoon over the ravines and rifle pits directly in front of the main works and a battalion assault Sunday @ 2. Saturday morning is reserved for gun drills and camps of instruction, as desired by participating units & batteries.
NO FEE for pre-registered (by Mar 25) participants arriving in period dress. Walk-ons in period kit welcomed but w/ a $5 charge. Powder provided to the 1st three full-scale cannons registered (all CS). Half ration to the 1st two howitzers or mortars (all US on Sat). ALL soldiers should bring both impressions. Rank should have the enlisted numbers accompanying them to justify their rank.
Complimentary water tour of the historic river batteries Fri @ 4 on the Delta Explorer for the first 40 participants registered or already on site.
