Too often we look beyond ourselves to find the original idea we are seeking for our art. Using Blakeley’s incredible natural environment as a backdrop, this class will enable participants to recognize and overcome the stumbling blocks to tapping into our creative side. .We will learn how the exploration of nature can help stimulate our imagination. We will select a simple biological subject and explore ways to think differently about it and to put original concepts and ideas on paper. The techniques utilized in this class are focused on artistic expression, but are relevant to nearly any subject in any walk of life.

What to Bring: A journal or notebook, your favorite drawing tools and writing tools, a chair and/or easel, and your own creativity!
