The park offers a handicapped-accessible kayak launch on the scenic Tensaw River adjacent to the dock for our pontoon boat. Launch fee is just $1 per boat in addition to regular admission.

Please check the National Weather Service’s Marine Forecast for our area prior to planning to utilize the launch. The Tensaw is a deep and wide river with tidal fluctuations and occasional strong currents.

Historic Blakeley State Park is a launching point for users of the Alabama Canoe Trail reserving the trail’s camping shelters within the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. We are especially convenient for those reserving the Mudhole Creek Shelter.

Fees: $1 launch fee, $3 per night parking fee
